Not a problem, I often am called in by clients who are not confident enough to hang the wallpaper.
If possible move what furniture you can into the centre of the room, if you need a hand I am more than willing to help. Please make sure all your small ornaments/nick-nacks are safely stored away. If you want to keep existing picture hooks etc removing and the holes filling, let me know.
References
Of course. I am hoping as the website grows you will see pictures and comments from customers. Until that time I will happily supply you with verified references.
I DONT.
Every job is a fixed price. This means no unexpected big bills.
I often hear stories about customers who have employed decorators at £x per hour only to find he took 3 days to paint a ceiling.
The price I quote is the price you pay. No More No Less.
The preferred method of payment is bank transfer or BACS. I also accept cash, a written receipt will be given for any cash transactions.
I do not accept cheques or credit card payments. Sorry
I have public liability insurance to the value of one million pound. The policy is available on request.
No problem, and the good news this will not affect the price I quote.
No, I prefer prompt payment on completion of the job.
On larger jobs, I may ask for organised stage payments.
Yes of course, I can give you a quote for labour only.
I do prefer for you to supply a recognised brand of paint, i.e. Dulux, Crown, Mcphersons.
The value paint that you can buy from local D.I.Y shops is poor quality and generally requires extra coats to get a suitable finish.
All quotations are for two coats unless previously arranged
Yes, written quotes are supplied on request. These quotes are valid for six months from the date issued.
The English Weather !!
This is a common problem, and for the last couple of summers it has been really hard. I check the forecast daily, although not always correct, we have nothing better to use.
If I am due to start your external decoration, and the weather forecast is bad I will try to reschedule the job. This is done for your benefit.
The old school way was every five years, I’m afraid with modern paints, this is no longer true.
I advise all my customers to check there external decoration after three years of it being painted. (needs edit)
If you have painted walls, they should last longer than five years, and still look good.
Simple answer is No. I am a painter & decorator, I only charge for the trade that I have been trained for.
I always hate to see the term “General Builder”.
There is no city & guilds / NVQ in “General Builder”.
I think by keeping this principal I can offer you the best professional painting & decorating service in the Lincolnshire area.
Every house is different. Every room is different. Every decorating specification is different.
On every quote I visit your property and survey the work you require. I will then give you a fixed price quote. This is the price you pay
